5.4 Graphs of Trigonometric Functions

We will sketch the graphs of sine, cosine and tangent functions.

GRAPH OF Y = Sin X :

Now, plot these values and obtain the basic graph of the sine function. As sine function is periodic with period 2p, therefore, the pattern repeats to both right and left.

GRAPH OF Y = COS X :

Cosine function is periodic with period 2p, the pattern repeats to both left and right.
