21.1 Electric Current

When electric charges move along a path, the electric current (i) is said to flow along that path. The electric current is defined as the rate of flow of electric charge ( positive charge, conventionally) through a point along the path of flow.

Unit of current is 1 Coulomb / sec. It is called 1 Ampere.
