A
If the blend contains L, it must also have the essence N, and if it contains M, it must also have O. P can be added to all blends (except the blend of N and O ) but in a greater quantity than the existing quantum of all the other essences. Hence choice A is an exception to the acceptable perfumes formula.
-
B
To answer this use the process of elimination. M and O need to be in equal parts. This is indicated in the choice C. But it is defeated because the quantity of P is not larger than the total amount of each of the essences. N and O cannot be used together. Hence E is incorrect. O and P cannot be used together. Hence, once again C is wrong.
A
An action done out of ignorance is not voluntary. An action is involuntary if it is not voluntarily done and also if it produces repentance. It is therefore possible that some acts could be neither voluntary nor involuntary since these acts did not produce repentance. Therefore we can see that choice B, C, D and E are false. Since acts which are not voluntary include involuntary acts. Choice A is the best answer.
C
The author makes a presumption that all known facts are necessary facts. Hence we can conclude that everything known to God is necessary. Therefore the choice B is false. Choice A, D and E do not follow. Only choice C is true. From this it follows that in case there is something that is not necessary, it is not known by God. Hence A does not follow.
D
In the argument the author attacks the soundness of the statement that the existence of pornography is a matter of opinion. We cannot say that he is trying to establish the truth of choice A or B. The author disagrees that literary criticism is a matter of opinion, but he does not deny that pornography depends on literacy criticism. Hence choice C is false. E is not relevant. The author has demonstrated that status of there statements could not be seriously maintained unless the critics act-like hypocrites. Therefore choice D is most appropriate.
B
This choice will weaken the discussion as the author doesn’t evaluate the difference of opinion among literary critics. Could it be because of these differences that lawyers come to the conclusion that pornography is a matter of opinion. We are not concerned with the financial objectives of the critics. Therefore choice E does not weaken the argument. B, C and D are not relevant. Choice A also does not weaken the discussion.
