He has received numerous recognition's in the field of drama, including two Peabody awards. He has worked as a visiting professor at Ohio State University and was a master playwright at New York University, at Baylor University, and at the Salzburg Seminar in American Studies. He is currently an adjunct professor in the graduate school at the University of Southern California.
Together, Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee wrote Inherit the Wind, The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail, and Auntie Mame. Jerome Lawrence also wrote Actor: The Life and Times of Paul Muni. Inherit the Wind was made into a movie in the 1960s. Table of Contents | Printable Version |
