He is curious about people, especial Singer and his satellites Mick, Jake, and Doctor Copeland. Biff also collects facts. He likes to think of history and collects newspapers, arranged and cross indexed, as if he were a scholar. He is a man whose mind is always busy thinking about other peopleÂ’s motivations and concerns. In the months since his wifeÂ’s death, he seems to have begun to examine his own as well. He has an uncomfortable crush on Mick Kelly. Because of the fact that she is a girl, he feels shame about this, but he doesnÂ’t act on it more than to be a little too eager to see her.
