After considering all of the information he has recently received, a new idea has occurred to him. He races toward the Louvre, following Paris’s ancient Rose Line. He thinks Saunière possibly wanted to talk with him because he had unwittingly guessed the Grail’s location in his manuscript. Langdon goes inside the museum and downstairs to view La Pyramide Inversée. Langdon realizes this place satisfies all of the components of the riddle and gave Saunière the perfect opportunity to watch over it. Notes An epilogue is a portion of the story that comes after the plot has been resolved. Langdon already resolved his conflict when he solved the final clue and was satisfied to learn from Marie that the brotherhood never intended to release the Grail. In this final section, Langdon uncovers the true resting place of the Grail. Langdon has resolved his conflict and this discovery is a reward for a virtuous knight.
